The seeds of the idea that became Madhu India Limited was sown by Mr. Gupta’s foray into the handloom and textile sector just as it began in its booming years. The Group began with just 4 people; and in the next 25 years the company has grown leaps and bounds and has become a large scale industry.

The Group’s Chairman took the company’s vision seriously and set forth at a time when travelling oversees was not only difficult but exorbitantly expensive. Many regarded this venture as foolhardy, with the capital expenditure for the facility exceeding its initial investment and also due to lack of human capital. But Mr. Gupta had his sights on more than the immediate, having already seen the potential of Indian Handloom and the global opportunities in the field during his stint in Sweden in the Mid 1970’s.  Moving quickly, he set forth to lay the foundation of an Export Oriented Company - Madhu India Limited (formerly known as Madhu Enterprise).

Madhu India Limited, with its internationalized business model, fully integrated supply chain, highly efficient R&D team is today an agile, fast moving organization that is well equipped to take on a dynamic, changing market place with innovative products and solutions. However, we never forget where we are from. Surely, we are not a large enterprise, but what counts for us are our tradition and history.
